A mile further on, romantic Castle Urquhart stands brooding on the shores of mysterious Loch Ness itself and at the foot of the loch the delightful village of Fort Augustus with the scenic Thomas Telford locks taking boats onward to the west coast. Picnic in beautiful Glen Affric with good walking trails. Inverness (17 miles) with city attractions and lovely riverside theatre offers boat trips to the Moray Firth to spot the bottlenose dolphins and trips on Loch Ness. Culloden Battlefield and Cawdor Castle are worth a visit.

CnocBrae was a home from home. Clean well appointed, with everything you could need from washer, dryer, microwave to glasses, crockery and utensils. Barbie and table outside to enjoy the weather. Power showers and a Jacuzzi, comfortable furnishings, with large well thought out kitchen. Beautiful natural views across the heath, peace and quiet all around. Easy access to Loch Ness and Inverness, and with in traveling distance of the whole of the Highlands.
